Microsoft Outlook 2002 - POP3 Account Setup
- Launch Outlook
- Under "Tools" select "Accounts..."
- Under the email header, select "Add" a new eMail account
- In the "Email accounts" window, enter these
settings.
- Your Name: The name you would like
to display in the "From" field
(i.e., John Doe or Sales)
- Email address: Your new email address
(i.e., suzy@your_domain.com or sales@your_domain.com)
- Incoming mail server (POP3): mail.your_domain.com
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.your_domain.com
- User Name: username_you_set_up@your_domain.com
(i.e., mail@your_domain.com or sales@your_domain.com)
- Password: password_you_chose (case
sensitive)
Special Note #1:
- Click the "More Settings" button, and click
the "Advanced" tab.
- Uncheck the "Leave a copy of messages on the server" box
and click the "OK" button.
Special Note #2:
- Click the "More Settings" button, and click
the "Outgoing Server" tab.
- Check the "Log on to incoming mail server before sending mail" box
and click the "OK" button.
- Click "Next"
- Click "Finish"
